I honestly don't know how being fat can make someone feel good. Your destroying your body. Now, If you're a bit fat because of "big bones" or at least aren't eating an entire feast, fine. But when you're purposefully overeating and making yourself fat, That's just bad. Your making your body unhealthy.

I still find it stunning how treating bigger body types (and not obesity) like any other is seens as "glorifying" it. Nope, it's not gloryfing it. Just showing it from an angle that is not shaming, degrading, or insulting.

I don't see how it being sexual would imply glorification. Both men and women bodies are inherently sexual and sexualized. In the western societies, showing them is perceived as glorification when they focus on the (not so realistic) fit/bodybuilded bodies. There are movements for representing all body types equally, precisely to stop that glorification. This work isn't any different.

Why do they show fit/good bodies? Because they're healthy. Fat/Obese/Anorexic bodies are not. I, along with many others, would not want to start seeing fat/Obese/Anorexic women on commercials, ads, etc. Now. By fat I mean, your arms are inflated, so are your legs, face and especially stomach. You can be chubby or having some extra weight, that's fine.
What would we do if we started seeing Princess Fat,Obesity,Anorexia on Disney? Impressionable young girls will think that thats ok to be like that.

Also, it is obesity. Representing 'Bigger" body types would have stopped this transformation at the 3-4th panel. The 4th and 5th are obesity. You cannot tell me that someone with that kind of figure is just a "bigger" body type.

Obesity is a medical condition. While it's defined as a percentage of body fat, it also implies health issues and risks. As far as I'm concerned, the characters I draw are perfectly healthy and certainly not under any kind of Damocles sword, they're just bigger.

That hardly makes any sense at all. You can't draw and obviously obese character and say "yeah. They perfectly healthy". It's like drawing a character that has terminal cancer and claiming "nah fam. They good". Your characters are morbidly obese. If you want to show women/men of "bigger body types" go right ahead. But if you're instead drawing women/men that have body types that are obviously obese and unhealthy, I'll have to raise a few objections. If you want to keep doing this, go ahead. I'm in no position of trying to force somebody into stopping what you like to do. But at least realize that stuff like this could possibly lead to people actually want in to become obese/fat as well. Art like this is probably fueling dumb groups like the "Fat Acceptance" movement. I'm not saying it is but It could be.

Leads to something bad? Do you see all the happy comments? This brings more good than harm. People who think being fat is healthy need a reality check, but thatβs not the artistβs problem. Itβs just a fetish not an agenda the artist is trying to push.

Yes. It is. Because what is a fetish? Something that isn't normally sexual, being found sexual. Fetishes can develop from a young age. Little kids can see this. Then they'll think fat = sexy and good. And start supporting being fat. Leading to an unhealthy health style. There are happy comments because they're the target audience. People with a (fat/obesity/inflation) fetish. I know it isn't the artists fault. I'm not trying to say "you're literally Hitler" but at the very least keep it realistic. Nobody is healthy being as large as panel 4 onwards.
