This might sound a little weird, but I really like the angles of the lines of the tiles.
They're angled in and make the corner look even smaller. They also draw my attention away from the edges and on the girl. Which adds to the thought that she is very withdrawn from the world outside of the bathroom at this moment in time.
A very intensely emotional moment.
