I have a bunch of ideas for such a story, one that actually has its basis much longer before the force awakens, the original trilogy, the prequels, and a lot of other stuff. I'm talking nearly 37,000 years before the battle of Yavin! And yes, the history of the Star Wars galaxy does go back that far, and even further! But my idea revolves around an ancient war that force users neither on the light side nor dark side, but using both equally, fought against the gems who invaded their galaxy. This would explain the origins of many things, both the Sith and the Jedi, lightsabers, Christophsis, the republic, and many other things. Interested in hearing more?

You know the Star Wars timeline well enough you think? And I mean, you could recite it backwards from the latest point in the legends timeline to the earliest? You might need to know about that, and know that some of that stuff might or might not affect how the story comes out. We'd need to know everything about it to know what to keep, and what to cut out. You think you can handle that?
