These characters are based on the two characters in the little animation I posted a while ago, which are based on two other characters whom should be recognizable
This would have come out better, but if I took any longer, I would not have been able to export it at the size it is. And I really wanted it to be huge.
I tried giving it a different angle with the lighting, and I also tried out shading and lighting with different colors and hues, as opposed to just lighter/darker versions of the base colors.
I would not have given this an actual background even if I had the time to. I just didn't think it needed one.

Thanks! I've only tried that kind of lighting twice before, but I think this one's much of an improvement
I wanted to add a background, but I really didn't think it would create the feeling that I wanted. Also, I wouldn't have been able to save it as big if I had spent another second on it

The other two I made were done with Art Academy for the Dsi, so they looked really fuzzy
Ehh, I think I'd try a blurry view of an old-style children's play room, with a toy chest, a Jack-in-the-Box, a rocking horse and such.
Blurry so the characters that are in focus stay that way

Neither, actually. I had made an animation for a contest with the theme, "Toys", and whipped up two characters for it. This is just a formal painting of them.
