Vince was a serial killer and rapist. He carefully studied his victims, their habits and where they were easiest to catch. Always. With Rose it was the same. He had followed the young woman for nearly two weeks and finally made up the strategy for his assault.
Rose used to have a barefoot walk on a lonely beach close to her home every day after work at a gym. Not much people came around here, for the more popular beaches were a few miles away. Wind and waves would quickly cover the tracks.
He had his car parked on a small path close to the beach, within a stone's throw away from a street towards the highway. His knife was sharp and intimidating. When Rose turned up as expected he felt ready and prepared. He watched her coming down the rocky path from her house and walking along the sandy beach. He left his car like some regular visitor, trying to hide his excitement. She saw him, but didn't seem to be suspicious. How could she? None of the other victims lived to tell anything about him. He grinned in anticipation. Everything went like planned. But as soon as Vince attacked Rose, he knew he had overseen something important.
Rose wasn't just a fitness instructor like he had thought.
She was the teacher of the gym's martial arts classes...
