Description
Designed to replace the existing M1 Garand in JSDF service, built by Howa, the Type 64 was field in 1964 and became the main service rifle of the JSDF until 1989 was replaced by Type 89 respectively. The rifle is still currently in service, mainly were converted into a marksman rifle.
