Description
Delivered to the Japanese National Police Reserve in 1951 at the final stage of the Japanese civil war, by 1952, it was absorbed to the newly formed National Security Forces of the Protection Corps until later were handed over the newly de facto military force, the Japan Self-Defense Force. It became the primary troop carrier of the JGSDF in the 1950's until it was supplemented and replaced by Type 60 and Type 73 APC's and in the late 60's, they were put out of service.
