Description
2 C-130Bs were delivered to the Philippines in the early 1970s alongside 2 or 4 L-100s. 2 more were also delivered in 1978. Most of these involved of transporting troops from Luzon to Mindanao in rotational deployment against communist and Moro insurgents. It also involved in humanitarian missions such as the 1976 Moro Gulf earthquake and tsunami of Pagadian City. Status remains unknown of its operational in the 1990s, sources claimed that C-130Bs were retired as of 1994, and 2 retired C-130Bs were slowly rotted in the tarmac of Mactan Airport in Cebu.
