Description
Given to the Philippine Navy in the 1970s, just in time with the insurgency against the communist and Moro secessionist at the early days of the martial law under Ferdinand Marcos. Swift Boats mainly seen in action in inshore coast of Western Mindanao, Sulu where arms smuggle from neighboring Malaysia are active and in Agusan River hunting down potential communist NPA chain of supplies there. Swift Boats were put down from service and were transferred to the Philippine Coast Guard until decommissioned in mid 2000s.
