My emotions reflect off the screen,
They pour from my eyes,
Seep from my veins,
And I'm blinded by the intensity of "feelings."
Keeping them hidden, I do my best,
But in the end,
They're exposed for all to see.
Naked and in your face,
Just like me-
Take it, or leave it.

so glad you like it, it is so hard for me to stay away from reds lol I love red and everytime I start a new work, I have every intention of doing a color other than red, then by the end of the work, it turns red lol

i suppose i can relate a little bit, when i was yong, very young, i was always drawing batman. this is before i ever heard you can paint on a computer.
in the late 90s as a boy i only drew batman and one day a teacher said to me, draw other things, i tried to draw a warrior looking at a castle but it ended up as a batman drawing (a garbage one at that).
but as i have grown and learned that painting and drawing other things are just as fun. like now i only draw women.
and i have even noticed that the is beauty in every corner if you choose and decide to look.
nowadays i am looking at old patterns and dress design.
i think they add a great level of detail to the character something i would have never done years ago..
its never a bad thing to try different things, you never know what amazing or harsh lesson you will learn, you know at the beginning i thought i could paint anything i wanted but after almost 2 years of hard work i am now seeing other little things to learn and grow from

I agree, you need to try other things, you never know what will come of it, like you said, harsh lessons or amazing lessons.
I prefer to do women as well, but not because I am a woman, but because I love the curves. For me, there is nothing more sensual or beautiful than the curvature of a woman's neck. That has always stuck with me. When I was young, I wanted to do fashion design, always on women, but then I started really drawing, first objects, then people. I found that I loved portraits. Unfortunately, instead of going to art school, I joined the military instead, and then life happened, so no more art for me, until I went back to school in my 30's. I loved computers so I took a multi-media/internet degree program, but half way through, I had to start designing websites. As much as I loved coding, which I did, doing the little bit of art brought back my passion for it. I finished my degree then re-enrolled into the art program for web design, but then changed it to graphic design. Regardless, I have found my love for art again, but I cannot help but think that if I didnt go into the military, I could have been so much farther along in my art than I am now. All that being said, I am just grateful to have art back in my life again

funny you say that i also started as a programmer for small gaming companies and just before graduating as an engineer i did it as freelance work.
i remember your time in the military which halted your art passion
