I only ever do it when I've had it with someone and I just want to get on their nerves. Otherwise, I totally agree.

I'd only block someone for the reason they have the option. If they harass me or really get on my nerves.

Yeah, but it's so funny to do that. It's hilarious when I reply and block someone who just ticks me off. I don't do it any other situation. Blocking is there for a reason, but that reason shouldn't be abused.

Mary blocked me after I said "Hello Mary"

Now I must disagree with this stamp.
I personally have blocked people for being rather rude to me.
I am not one who likes to deal with drama and having to fight with people.
If you want to get away from something, never see their messages again and dont want to talk to that person again, what are you going to do?
You are going to block them, thats the only thing you can do to completely ignore a person on this silly site.
But oh well -shrug- Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

I think that's beside the point. Yes you're free to block someone but the issue here is blocking someone right after you reply to them for the sake of getting the last word in an argument (you've already exchanged words, so that's not ignoring anyone). A lot of people seem to think that whoever gets the last word "wins" the argument.
You could ignore someone by clicking the little grey 'x' button that hovers over a comment received in your in-box. This at least won't cut them off from watching you and favoriting your art.

Ah, now I'm looking at this in a whole new light.
But what if you don't want to win the argument, what if you just want this person to be gone?
They may keep on pestering you and pestering you and pestering you
A lot of people I think can deal with one person calling them a stupid idiot. But when it is repeated over and over and over again, I would imagine it starts to hurt.
Like, I've done that. I've blocked somebody because they wouldn't stop saying kind of mean things to me, no matter how many times I said sorry and tried to make up for it.
So I just... blocked them to just end it all.

Then that's a valid reason for blocking someone--they're actually harassing/spamming you.

Yeah! I guess it just depends on what it is.

I only block someone when they're annoying the hell out of me or if they're a troll that I simply don't want to deal with.
This is rare though.
Bawwlocking is really annoying though!
