Because of white lines on their noses Jets from First of August looks a bit like Beijing opera actors (certainly Wu Sheng* role performers) for me.*The Wu Sheng is a martial character highly trained in acrobatics.

I know about origin of 1st of August aerobatic team name origin. I think it's great that PLAAF named it after such an important day.
