Description
I don't have much to say about charizard really. I admit that I have a slight problem with tetrapods with six extremites, such as most dragons, griffins and pegasuses. I just can't help it(I don't dislike them in any kind of way, they just puzzle me so to say)
But I image that the horns and faned tail help charizard to steer and manuver better when flying.
I think charmelon and charmanders use their faned tail (and horn for charmeleon) to keep the banace when they run, I image them to be some kind of quick, raptor-like creatures.

That looks simply awesome. As a matter of fact, it wouldn't need a whole lot of changing to look like Dragonite (That's what I thought it was before I saw the title)
Nice job!

This is the most gorgeous Charizard I've ever seen.
I love that you went for the more traditional dragon look, as opposed to the cartoon crap you see everywhere else. I especially love the muscular neck.

That just might be the greatest Charizard I have ever seen.
Really good details and he looks much more realistic with the feathers on his tail instead of fire.

Hexabrachial creatures can be difficult at first. It is best to go back to skeleton. You need to redesign the shoulderblades into a tri-bone support structure and then add at least 5 new muscles to manipulate these new stuctures

That picture of Charizard is cool! For the extra limbs I think if you go into the whole evolution thing say they're evolution had 6 limbed rather than 4 limbs the best explanations I've heard are in Peter Dickinson's book "The Flight of Dragons" which goes into depth about how dragons could have existed & in one of Anne McCaffrey's Pern books which the entire planet evolved off a 6 limbed rather than 4 limbed structure.

I love your Charizard. He never really seemed like a dragon with the cartoony version of him, but your version really does. Awesome, you're the best Pokemon artist I've fond on dA, and I love you!

I like everything except for the tail. I would have ike to have seen the traditional flame, at least a bit of smoke.

"Tetrapod" means four legs, they include all vertebrats (animals with spine) except fish, roundmouths(hagfishes? If ones want to include them with the vertebrats that is. Anyhow) and sharks.
The standard insects have 6 limbs and 2 set of wings. Their bodies are constructed in a almost completely different way then the terapods, and these two animal groups (vertebrats and insects) separated ages ago.
However have a interesting concept that involves vertebrates and mutations. It can be read as a short version as a comment on this picture higher up, or visit Ahrkeath gallery for details

I came up with a plausible evolution scenario for dragons, and the explaination for six limbs is that due to some genetic mutation, an originally tetrapedal (is that a real term?) animal is given an extra pair of limbs. This mutation turns out to be beneficial to the animal's survival, and it becomes a permanent part of that lineages' genetic makeup. Sometimes, the new species wipes out the parent species due to its superior adaptation; this is what happened to the old Charizard species.

Beautiful.
You've managed to do to ALL these Pokémon what I've always wanted to acheive myself, [if not at least see].
Make them look so real.
I once tried doing a fanfic<=>doujinshi, and I wanted to draw them realistically, like the ones seen in the 'Electric Tale of Pikachu' manga. Didn't get far, as I coudln't find enough references.
You're inspiring me once again....

I really like the anatomy and detail, nice job! The take on the tail is very interesting, though I do sort of miss the fire.

I like the use of the fan instead of the flame...and the general stance of the creature, and how you connected it to the fan :3
The wings confuse me too, at least from a real-life point of view. X3 but it's pokemon, so sometimes you can't ask.
