Figures the experienced battler/traveler would bring Nature’s Antidote substitute!
That actually begs a question: why do the Pokémon here, who should know the wild better than humans, not know what certain berries—like Pecha— are capable of?

While this explains a lot, it also raises the question of why Pokémon in this universe are so different (read: human-like culture) to wild Pokémon in the universe both Flash and the audience are familiar with.
