Yup it was originally gonna be an entry for 's March theme: MARCH THEME GUARDIANS! [OPEN]
February's Themed art feature is "Orange is STill Awesome" by MeMiMouse

So... Gonna be explaining some stuff now.

When Emilo was very young and Kaine was still an egg, their parents died to a plague that has been affecting the world they live in for a long time. Due to this, his mother's best friend, an Ampharos named Amanda along with her husband Nolle, adopted the two since they couldn't live at their home anymore. Emilo bonded close to her, even considered her a second, while Kaine called her "godmom". Sadly, as preteens, the plague that took the lives of Emilo's parents took away Amanda and Nolle, devastating the both of them. Since then, every year around dawn, he'd leave a gift at the memorial he made for her.

Might edit this story later I dunno

If you're still confused why this is a Guardian picture, parents or caretakers are technically guardians, at least in English
