Description
Hey! I've been on this account for a year! Yaaaay. So I made this, and it's based on the final panel in the 5th issue of Ghostbusters ongoing. Originally, I was just practicing with the characters at it has been ages since I drew them, but I decided to post it anyways. Dan digs it so hey, I'm more than happy right now. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did making it. Thank you and God bless.Related content

Oh my gosh. Thank you, coming from a great artist such as yourself, I'm really humbled.
Well in a way, the style I've made is a strange evolutionary mix of Butch Hartman (Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom) andΒ Dan Schoening, the actual artist of the Ghostbusters comics. I really want to get that middle ground of action and cartoon, which makes sense when you're dealing with real, funny people in a world full of strange ghosts.Β

I love Dan Schoening's artwork so much, so I think that's a good combo of styles!! And yes, I know what you mean about a middle ground between action/cartoon. I was just talking to my friend about how the Ghostbusters comic is able to do both so well! I am not too big of a fan of realistic, action comics, I never have been, so I was a bit anxious about how the comic would be, but the balance is PERFECT! It's action-ey enough to suit the setting, and to appeal to folks who like action comics, but also toony and "squishy" enough to please me, a cartoon fan!
Dan certainly knows what he's doing, and it looks like you do, too!

Oh yes. I remember when I first discovered deviantART, he was one of the first few artists' I found and his early Ghostbusters art was amazing. When it was announced that he and one of my fav writers, Erik, were going to do this ongoing comics, I was counting the days until its release. Personally, I find his earlier designs a little more cartoony, which again fits the mood of it all and made you think OMG, this is what the real ghostbusters could of been if they were more directly in line with the movie, but I still love his updated look being realistic caricatures with strange and crazy ghosts to fight against.Β
Definitely, I think that's what put me off of Superhero comics now than before. Before, of course they looked more action-ey, but simplistic to allow someone else to draw themselves, and now they're almost all about muscles and shadows and specific overly designed hair, bone structure, and suits. It's not bad, as some really make it work well, but Ghostbusters knows how to appeal to every demographic visually.Β
Again, thank you so much. I'm trying to always improve and I plan to re-do one I did years back, but my big hope is to one day make a comic series based on the 2016 film, but with dialogue and moments a little more to the original film's flavor while balancing its comedy and action style. I think GB101 is pulling that idea off really well.Β

They're toony, but definitely have kind of a serious, "fierce", semi-realistic 3D look to them that the more simplistic, stylized cartoon styles lack.
He has a dA page?
I feel the same!!!
Good luck with that! I'm sure you can do it! :3
