Description About The MOCA MOC of this nature from me has been loooong over due. I've been needing to make a "MIni-MOC" in the true sense of Mini-MOCs for a while now, I never really had one till now.
I feel a little bad ending up with a crab as a mini-MOC seeing as how its been done before, namely by But I was inspired by his crab to do this. I was trying to make a little spider, but once I got those claws made I simply had to honor the design and make a crab. So now we have "Snip," my little green crab.

Bio
He's just a cute little crab, He could be HF Bionicle or what ever. No real story behind this one. His name is snip because his claws are more scissor like than clamp like for a crab's claws.

Thank you. I'm glad you think so. The only thing about the shell/mask is the eyes. I thinking they need to be filled in some how. It shouldn't be too difficult to do, just need to tinker with it and do it.

I'd like to see Snip try and pull that off. I don't think that'd go over well with some of the bigger MOCs. They'd probably just step on him and turn him into a stain on their shoe.

Well if snip is trying to take over, yeah. Otherwise why would he bother? He's an evil bastard, but not pointlessly so. If he doesn't kill out of sick twisted pleasure, no that'd be O-jin and to a lesser degree, Remaku. Vhisora doesn't stop until what it's after has been killed or its been ordered to stop, and even then that's kinda iffy.

That would be absolutely adorable. He doesn't use too many parts. I suppose if I really wanted to invest in getting more of these I could, but I don't really see the point other than it'd be cute and I could maybe sell them at a lego convention.

I'd have to find all the parts to be able to make multiple ones. The breeze mask would be the most difficult part to find in a large quantity though, not to mention it wouldn't be cheap. I doubt I'd make a profit on em.

Adorable! Even if he's missing a couple of legs. Then again, Ussals only have six, too. And the Manas have freakin' tank treads.

He reminds me of the Kanohi Bugs that were a craze a couple of years ago on MOCpages and Flickr.

D'awww thanks LP, You definitely know how to make an adorable MOC so I take that to heart. He's just a crab, six legs and claws, I wasn't trying to make an Ussal or something like that. The eyes would have to be on stems if I did that, which granted aren't hard to do, but still, he's just a wittle cwab.

The Fikou is probably what started the theme off, but there have been a load of intricate hybrid system MOCs built along the same basic principle, like a daddy long-legs based off Gali's mask and an amazon weevil based off Nuhrii's. Alas, I tried to find a picture to show you already and failed.

Yes, System is rather good for small detailing. It's amazing how many different ways there are to make crabs. You, Rahiden and I all have crabs (teehee) and yet the way we approached making them was vastly different

HAHA That was the joke I was making on MOC Pages. "Deviant art MOCkers, we have crabs." That was one thing I was worried about. Conceptually I'm copying, but it was actually because I've seen a few Crab MOCs that I went and did Snip. This isn't actually the Crab I really want to make. Grayson and I have talked about this and I've "conceptually laid claim" to a motorized Crab. He did a motorized Pewku, but I have the idea to make a crab that uses Power Functions to scuttle along. Of course this will have to wait till I have some power functions. I'm thinking at least two motors so it can turn and not just go back and forward. That'd be lame. So the finer points aren't worked out, but the over all concept works in theory.

And see, that's a true testament to our styles. Aiden's Crab is Cancer, yours is Scuttler, mine would be a remote controlled crab that probably won't be as visually appealing as your guy's but has a functionality that far exceeds every other MOC of its kind. I really like to hold to the old spirit of bionicle and evenly incorporate Aesthetics, theme and functionality in my MOCs.
