Description So, today I said I would make 25 reviews minimum this month, and I'm sure some people scratched their heads, I mean, I don't even think I've crossed 25 reviews yet.

Those 25 reviews will be from one of my favorite adult cartoons, The Simpsons. Each day leading up until Christmas, I will make a positive review on an episode from the show. One episode for the each of the first 25 seasons. Why positive, you ask. Well, it's Christmastime, so it's time to be more positive!

Today I'll be looking at Season 8's, "The Homer They Fall", an episode I especially appreciate because of my enjoyment of boxing.

The plot of the episode revolves around Homer going to retrieve Bart's fancy belt after Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney steal it. Their dads start beating up Homer, but he is unphased, and tires all three fathers out. Moe sees this, tells Homer he'd be a great boxer, and even agress to manage him.

However, there's a problem, Homer can take a punch, but he can't punch. Moe tells him to tire out the oppenent, and then nudge them over. This proves to work, and Homer rises up, beating every other boxer in Springfield. Then, Moe's old manager stops, and suggests Homer fights his new star boxer, Drederick Tatum. Moe agrees, and when the fight comes, Homer gets his ass whooped, but before Drederick can finish the poor slob off, Moe flies in on a fan and saves Homer. Everyone gets their happy ending, and the episode ends.

The episode is a classic, and for a number of reasons, for starters, the humor is on point, from Moe's background as a boxer to Drederick Tatum himself, it's impossible not to laugh at least once here! Then the characters are fantastic, and you can feel that Homer cares about Bart and that Moe cares about Homer. However, what really did it for me was all the little nods to boxing history the episode has, from the fan incident of 1927, to the Don King parody, to the Rocky homage. Little details like that that allows me to enjoy it even more.

The Homer They Fall is a brilliant episode that is something special for Boxing fans and Simpsons fans alike, and while it isn't the best episode on this progect of mine, it's like top 5.

10/10 - Must Watch.
