Wow, surprised I could fit the whole title.

Season: 2

Many fans of The Simpsons will agree that the show started off well, but didn't hit it's prime until the third season. While I agree with the statement, Season 1 and 2 have no shortage of comedy gold, evidenced by this episode, and my choice for season 1. (Which you all should know given that it's a marathon revolving around the holiday season)

Three Men and a Comic Book is about Bart, Milhouse, and Martin pooling their money to buy the very first Radioactive Man issue, but trouble arises when the trio prove incapable of sharing the comic.

Yeah, one of those episodes. To be short, yes, the story is predictable. Though anybody who knows me, knows I don't care as long as your characters are entertaining, and you know what, the three boys are entertaining.

That's why I love this episode, the entertainment value. Theres the iconic introduction to Bartman, there's the comic book convention, which, if you've been to any convention before, will find both relateable and humorous, there's Comic Book Guy's introduction, and while he sounds a bit different from usual, he shows he's always had the same personality that made him one of the Simpsons best side characters.

The joke are hilarious as well, the afformentioned Comic Book convention, the ending, Mrs. Glick, the episode is a riot, not the funniest of the show, but still pretty good.

So, if you take a predictable story, add in a bunch of fan nostalgia and entertainment, and top it all of with hilarious humor, and you've set yourself up for a great episode.
