The few times I've attempted drawing, all would be good and dandy at first, until I added something or colored it perhaps and then... oh no, no... *crumples paper and tosses it away* XD

I have the same problem.
Specially with eyes. I would rather erase them all or just replace them by simple circles, cause the other parts of body are usually... okay

It doesnt always have to be the face that screws up a drawing-- just any random detail that you're maybe not good at XD
but yeah, its a good idea to start with the face in some situations
