me so clever with the titles....
A quickie sketch that turned out looking lovely, so I thought I'd share with you guys.
I'll probably move it over to scraps soon, or replace with a more cleaned-up version of this character.

Update: So it's a cheap fix as far as I'm concerned, but that background color really does make me feel way more comfortable with having this in my 'finishes' gallery. And besides, it makes her colors look so much richer now

her fabled feline beauty,fragile and fading fast,
on her knees she prays for peace and protection from the dark,
in triangle tombs and dusty rooms,she waits for time to end,
the sphinx she blinks through centuries longing for a friend.

The original drawing was on white paper. I added the background color after I colored her, since the white made it feel too... unfinished.

I was drawn to this image as soon as I saw it. Upon closer inspection, I can see why. The expression is so solemn, and the color palette gorgeous.

I'd say you had a rather thorough grasp of words to use... most people can't seem to get past "Great job!" and here you've gifted me with such phrasing as "Upon closer inspection" and the word flounder. Really, not enough people use flounder enough these days, aside from seafood.
