I mean, you did call Enzman shit, and thats a pairing between a guy and his extremely loyal friend.
I guess its just that I've never been the shipping type... Hard to explain but it usually doesn't occur to me as often for some reason.
With the recolors I figured that even explaining that its just the characters(which I actually did once and it failed) will still have a small amount of people bashing it as being "too gay" for their tastes. Not homophobic my ass. I may not be a shipper but even I know the anti-shippers can be annoying.
Although I'll admit the ships I did ship I shipped hard... Takes me back to my Kirpuff/Glitcrina(yeah I forgot Rosa was a century old but I just focused on "single tall and blue") days.... Boy was I pissed seeing Glitchy with a total nobody!
And like I said, despite me not liking the characters per se, I thought the concept of X-Glitch(4X was taken) would be interesting when you consider certain moments from 2011/early 12 and X's later demotion midway through 12. I've been thinking about it for 2-3? years now...

I know canonically they don't have the best chemistry(two episodes featuring them were the most messiest of an already messy year), but something has been urging me to do it for years. I'm not much of a love guy but I thought the ideal boyfriend for Glitchy has to be loyal, close, not trapped in the void, and not fucked up in the head to be attracted to weird shit. The fact they wore tuxedos in a video about love doesn't help it at all.
