As the time struck 12 upon the Eve of Astra Noctis,
A pair of fancily decorated twins rung a bell to signal the attention of their party guests.
"Let us tell you a little story," speaks the male twin. "Of the tradition passed down in our fine town."

"Long ago, little creatures took pity upon a village encased in snow," the sister begins.
"Wanting to bring joy to the villagers who held nothing but grief, they bundled up little gifts for everyone,
before sneaking into their homes and leaving them at their fireplaces while the villagers slept."
The brother speaks again, lifting his glass in the process, "This event made the villagers so happy, the warmth
they all shared with and for one another grew so strong, that it melted the snow that trapped them so.
Everyone was grateful for what took place, but..."
Taking over once more, the sister's expression looks troubled as she holds her hands together.
"...There was no one to thank. You see, the creatures had done all of this in secret.
They were shy, and fearful that their kind would not be welcome in the village.
And it is with a heavy heart they left just as quietly as they came--no trace but the gifts they left behind."
"And so," the brother holds a hand to his chest as continues, "...to thank the kind strangers, the villagers made a name for this day.
This is what we now know as Astra Noctis, a day to celebrate our relations, and the kindness of others."

As her brother finishes off their story, the young woman steps forward, now with her own glass in hand that she raises up.
"In honor of those kind creatures, my brother and I would like to raise a toast to their deeds.
We are forever grateful for what they have done, and tonight we shall feast and be merry til the break of dawn!"
