It is based on that wonderful figure they made in the 80's. Except his weapons were red for some reason. Hasbro even re-vamped him yrs later.

there is a funny story with this storm shadow action figure, I grew up poor and my parents would never buy toys for me or my brother so drawing pictures is all i could do to have something i wanted badly...exept this ONE!, you see there was this kid in my school who had everything and never took care of his toys on the playground and would loose the weapons and small things the figures had, but i carefully folowed him at lunch and recess and recovered the bow and the nun-chucks he left on the sand, but by the end of the day the only way to get the figure was by picking a fight with him so i could get it from his jaket... mind you he was a 6 grader and i was in 5th grade so i got the snot beat out of me but that day i went home with MY! Storm Shadow, Well later in High school it turns out he was a nice guy, and i told him the story to see if he would remember ,and he simply said "i didnt have any friends back then and his parents bought him toys for that reason so if i had only played with him he would have given it to me"LOL i know IronicΒ well I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!!!!!! ah the memories.
