Well I won't fault you, but the angels described in the Bible are pretty abstract-looking, almost Lovecraftian in nature. If you're familiar with Neon Genesis Evangelion at all, they got it pretty right in their depictions... either way, not like anyone knows for sure; I'm just going by the mythos the fractal reminded me of. The comment above you pointed out that one of the descriptions even kind of matches this picture specifically, which is rather an odd coincidence, because I'd forgotten all about it!

Well, I think somewhere in the Bible one type of angel is described as 'wheels within wheels within wheels', or something to that effect. Sounds pretty fractal to me.
