I used more Elliptics instead of pre-blurred cylinders on this but otherwise it is a pretty normal splits-elliptic... no need for params when this tutorial exists -> [link] (just replace xfroms 3 and 4, the pre-blurred cylinders, with Elliptic and no pre-blur). It also has ngon as its final transform.Should try this with bipolar too...
