Description UnoSombrero and I have been having some fun retconning character histories - she provides the description of what is going on here, because writing is her job and I'm just here to draw pretty pictures:

For anyone curious, this is how Edmund and Istvan first met. The year is 1941, Edmund is 22, and he's part of an enterprising group of young American wizards who decided they were going to battle the Axis whether or not the US ever decided to join the war. Unfortunately, said group chose to investigate rumors of a ghost accompanying the invasion of Russia. Edmund is now the only surviving member.

Istvan is mostly baffled that he missed.

Many years later, in 1992, he'll run across Edmund again, be absolutely delighted, and invite "the impossible soldier" to coffee.

For The Interminables project, a joint venture between UnoSombrero and me.

very nice use of colour contrast between the two characters - life vs death expressed in colours. really like the background too!

Fun. I like the picture but I thought Edmund was Pacific Theater?

He joined the Navy specifically to avoid having to fight anywhere near Central Europe, see.
