So some days ago, I miscalled Tadpole 'Toadstep'. But then I was like, 'Oh well, tadpoles grow into toads anyway.' And THAT is when I thought of this...

What if Toadstep reincarnated into Tadpole?

I didn't think about it that much but after giving it some thought, I realized that it could actually be quite a nice AU? I feel so bad for Tadpole, he didn't even get to live a proper life, neither as a warrior nor a kittypet or anything. So it would be nice if he got reincarnated and lived and died as a warrior. I know he looks nothing like Toadstep, but Cinderpelt doesn't really looks like Cinderheart either, but she is confirmed to be her reincarnation. So why not Tadpole and Toadstep? Here is how I imagine this AU to go:

When Sasha gave birth to her kits, a random cat was sent by Starclan to keep an eye on the future generation of Tigerstar. One day, when he was away, he came back and saw that Tadpole was drowning. He quickly tried to find him, but when he did, Tadpole had already drowned. Feeling sad that he couldn't save him, he took Tadpole with him to Starclan.

Tadpole had spent many moons in Starclan. He was not happy there. He wanted to live like his siblings, in the clan. Seeing him often deeply upset about this, Starclan decided to do something with him. After some moons, Starclan finally decided that he would be reincarnated. Tadpole was extremely happy and excited about this, though he was a bit nervous. He finally got what he wanted, a life as a warrior. He would be sent to Thunderclan, where his name would be Toadkit, and later Toadstep. He would be a great warrior.
