I knew this would get a DD. In fact i suggested it to another Gallery Director, but it looks like someone else had suggested it as well. I guess that is a testament to the quality of your work once more Max.
It's great to see some new art from you, been missing you & your art very much so. This picture brings back the memory of your uniquely detailed work; it always has a touch of 'high quality' in it.
There are not many works with the kind of detail set in such a fluid, dynamically setup way as in yours.
In fact its all these details that bring a great sense of depth; i mean, if you look around yourself in nature, nothing is so simple, there is an incredible amount of detail, you can choose to focus on little bits of detail or blur your vision into seeing the whole scene, with the details ultimately bringing the depth into the entire scene. That's what i see in your works; incredible amounts of detail set out in a way that brings out great detail.
And i thought you hated the noise filter, haha but it is utilised nicely here. I was thinking that if you didn't use it though, it may give the impression that one is in side a dark matter ridden nebulae of some form, with just the big stars & no tiny noise stars it'd feel like being encompassed in a huge nebulous entity; that would've felt nicely unique, just an idea.
Been wanting to comment on this piece for a while, well, I'm glad I've gotten around to doing so, this is an excellent piece, at first i pondered the plausibility of the planets lighting, but if you think about the image, its possible, its just another variable that adds to the overall depth & exploration to the piece. Great work!

I'm somewhat unsure how I feel about the clouds. This piece looks great small, but when enlarged the clouds look too much like actual clouds for me to see it as being something celestial. The clouds almost feel overdetailed, if that's possible. I think it would feel more celestial if they were simpler in form. I do LOVE the planet and it's lighting though.
I like it though- it's deffinately great to see that you're posting again!!!!
