Description
Pluto, Agent 3, R-0110, Captain. And this boy has a lot of backstory.
Pluto and his brother Phantom have been their own for 4 years before Pluto became Agent 3. During this time his partner Agent, Emerald, had given Pluto a hefty sum of money in exchange for Pluto's silence if Emerald's name was brought up on the surface. Shortly after, Emerald has opened up about his past saying he was hiding from someone, the same person who cause the scar on his cheek. Soon after though Emerald and Capt'n where kidnapped and Pluto put the blame on himself. Agents 1 and 2 decided it would be best if Pluto would stay out of Agent affairs for a while. This lead Pluto into a spiral, spending any time he could trying to find the lost Agent and preventing other inklings from being taken as well. Then the Agents contacted him again for the final battle against Octavio.
The final battle did not go as planned, Pluto fell in the battle and it took the Agents far to long to get to him in time. During this time, Pluto heard a voice telling him "You will wake up." and "Everything is going to be okay." and then, a cold feeling then nothing but darkness. Then he woke up, to the shock of both the Agents. He couldn't remember anything, his name, how to speak, where he was, what happened, etc. the only thing that kept him grounded was the voice and the cold beating in his chest but nothing was there all that remind was a healed scar that was so faint he didn't even notice it at first. One of the Agents always stayed with him trying to help him regain his independence while the other searched for the other Agent. The quest become hopeless however when they found out that the lost Agent was being kept in a now destroyed laboratory. Pluto went to the lab with the Agents and they found no traces of the lost Agent or much of anything. Pluto was now more determined to finish this fight, for weeks leading into months working with the other Agents yet he still fell behind, the dead nerves left his dominant arm useless and using his other proved difficult as the weapon was not made to be left handed, this lead Sheldon to join the team. Sheldon had gotten multiple blueprints from an "anonymous doctor" in order to build Pluto a new arm one that will revive the nerves with jolts of ink it was a long shot but Pluto agreed to it. The arm took a month to get into a working proto-type but it was enough for Pluto to use to fight Octavio.
He won, it nearly destroyed him but he had won with the Squid Sisters help. The proto-arm was wrecked and the cold feeling, the core yes now he remembered the voice had said something about a core. The one thing keeping him alive he tried to dig into his skin to see it at one point being stopped by Callie who though he had gone mad again. He tried to explain, not really sure of what happened himself but he was alive and that's what keeping him alive at least he thought so. Pluto spoke with Sheldon who scanned Pluto and reviled the metal core within. Sheldon identified it as octarian tech but not much else could be said about it.
As time went on Pluto became stronger and more used to his tech arm and various new technology from the "anonymous doctor" being able to scan various people and items seeing treats from afar etc. However getting pretty low on parts Pluto along with Capt'n head to the underground well Capt'n went for his own reasoning but he never told Pluto. In the underground you can't tell when time passes, nor sometimes even know where you are. An earthquake had separated Pluto and Capt'n soon afterward Pluto had run into weird octarians with strange ink. They weren't hard to take down, but they weren't normal the ink itself gooped up Pluto's arm which he easily cleaned out but normal ink never did that. Kept on his guard he spotted another person down here, they where armed and Pluto notice the glint of lime green. He attacked, the figure countered pushing the splat charger they held against Pluto flipping him over in the dark neither could make each other out but as Pluto scanned him he could see it. "Agent 78?" The two agents reunite Pluto kicking himself for not recognizing the armor he had made himself for 78. Agent 78 explained everything, how he was experimented on and was sent there to find Pluto and Capt'n. The two stay together for a while, then find themselves in a boss arena the boss launches Pluto off the edge leaving him alone again. He went back to his previous objective, searching for parts, he stumbled across a weird looking phone? It seemed to have a map of the place, the metro it was called Pluto had seen some tracks but no train. In a while the phone was receiving a transmission a kind of de stress signal and Pluto rushed to find its source. Breaking threw a wall and glass Pluto had saved Capt'n, Agent 8, and Iris but blacked out afterwards. He doesn't remember much when he was sanitized by Tartar, only that there was now a smaller octoling who couldn't speak here, Agent 8 on the other hand fit the description Agent 78 said about him perfectly, almost a bit to perfectly really not leaving out any small detail. They had to have been close, but where was he? 8, who Pluto later learned his name to be Jackson, explain that Agent 78 was still down there and so was Iris. Something clicked when he heard that name, the blueprints they all had a drawing of an iris on them, the core itself had an iris imprinted on it. It couldn't be related could it? Agent 78 was almost completely sanitized and an unconscious octoling laid at his feet. His movements where stiff as if it was trying to move in multiple directions but he did not hesitate to attack. It was 8 who suggested the idea to use the splat charger that 78 had discarded to shoot him down, with a well timed shot it would subdue him for at least a while. Pluto took initiative he could track 78's movements with his tech but even then he needed a clean shot. 8 and the smaller octoling, later on called Snowflake, distracted 78 while Pluto set up the shot. A voice in his head told him "he can be saved" and a whisper "this is all my fault" he has heard this voice plenty of times, but it never sounded this close. This though was right as Iris lifted her head, she was talking to him through a watch on her arm, or maybe it was a communicator. He was distracted for a moment when 78 hit him. 78 had noticed their plan and put Pluto out of commission he couldn't feel his leg, but he could make the shot. He would regret this later, now was the time for action. The one shot, his one chance and he did it, 78 falling out of the air and 8 catching him. Iris helped Pluto help supporting his left side. The fly back was unsettling, 78 stayed unconscious, 8 was just as quite and Iris you could practically feel the guilt coming from her.
Landing Pluto was meet face to face with Agent 4, his own brother. And as soon as he appear 4 left just as fast. It would take quite sometime before he could earn his little brothers trust again. Both Pluto and Emerald underwent a series of treatment that either didn't seem to work or made one of them sickly. Although Pluto's infection wasn't as bad, he still tried to get rid of the attestations Tartar has implanted into both of their heads the idea of Tartar's perfection, it made him sick even thinking about it. Iris eventually made some kind of, medication she showed to Pluto to counteract the effects of the sanitation. Iris was the one who sanitized Emerald she knows a lot about it but he would be betraying Emerald's trust. Iris was the one who experimented on Emerald for months, the one who sanitized him to begin with, but she also was the one who saved Pluto's life, who helped Pluto get his independence back by using those blueprints. He accepted. His skin cleared within days, the thoughts where silenced, and he just felt lighter. It was a one time shot, he knew it worked, he knew the effects, and yet the tests still being done on Emerald left him exhausted and weakened. Eventually Iris just told Pluto to give Emerald the medication he knew what it did, he knew what to expect and it worked. Iris knew she wouldn't be trusted, and Pluto accepted. Once Emerald gotten the dose, things started to happen to him some good some bad. He became somewhat distant, starring out into nothing and just shaking, his anger subsided, and his skin begun to clear, his eyes becoming the bright gold they once where. It was during one of the Agents meeting did Pluto see again Emerald for the first time, happier, telling jokes, and just seemed brighter overall. Then he just fell apart, Pluto thought for sure it was a panic attack, not entirely sure what triggered it but he seemed to just be starring into nothing again shuddering. Emerald had been regaining some memories since the underground some memories where painful others just left him empty inside but this memory, the moment he lost everything was what he recalled. After this, Emerald tried to piece his life together with Pluto and Phantom's help and he found some of his siblings, but what was curious about him the most was his own lost twin in the Splatlands. Emerald, took off with Jackson to the Splatlands and Pluto spent more time with Phantom trying to fix their own strain ties.
Pluto is now Captain, 78 is "helping" Pluto had patched things up with his brother, Pluto is now making his own tech using the R-0110 branding he's kinda grown on and now pronounces a new Agent 3 in his place, who happens to be 78's twin.
Wow thats a long story.
