Emerald, Elm, Plat, Agent 78. Oh you though Pluto has a massive backstory? This boy had multiple. (Edit: darkened his color, and made it more green)

Emerald and his twin Amethyst where born into the Serpent family. The Serpent family is a renown family of Ink Battlers with Elm's own father being one of the best along with his siblings and relatives. Once Elm and Amy where old enough to hold a weapon they started training for Ink Battles with their older brothers Python and Cobra. When Emerald turned 12 the twins lied about their age and enter turf wars with their siblings. During this time Cobra was leader of their squad but Emerald quickly was showing leadership skills which led Cobra teaching the younger inkling how to lead. In the first tournament Emerald led in the siblings teamwork was flawless and the younger Serpents quickly took up the popularity as the new team to follow. However a lot of people judged the young siblings, saying they were too inexperienced to even be in battles let alone lead. One day, those doubters got their wish, as during a battle in Bluefin Depot the rusted bridge collapsed and Elm didn't notice it in time. An inkling from the opposing team managed to push him out of harms way, however the bridge then fell on top of them, killing them instantly. Elm later learned the inkling's name was Mandarin.

Elm was racked with guilt about Mandarin's death, but he couldn't show it, he was the face of the team he couldn't let this hurt him. Thus he kept a stone face and even when asked about it, he remained neutral. He then saw an orange inkling that looked a lot like Mandarin follow him everywhere, when he tried to approach them they fled. Elm thought he might just be going mad, that the guilt was getting too much that was until he ran into the inkling on his way home. "You'll be sorry for what you did." was all she said before vanishing into the night. And that same night, Elm's entire life changed. The fire. A fire blazed through his childhood home destroying everything in it's wake. He couldn't let his family down, not after what happened before, so he lead the evacuation tasking Amy to hold back his elder brother Cobra as Elm ran back inside the fire to find their ailing mother. He did, but it was already too late the smoke and fire was already so dense and he couldn't breathe, he felt hands pulling him back before dropping him and retreating he could hear Cobra scream, his vision blurred and the last thing he heard was the ceiling crack above his head.

Urchin had been emptying the trash in the back ally waste bin when he first saw Elm. Parts of the inkling's skin showed signs of serious burns, that appear to have been treated to some extent. His clothes burnt to tatters from the fire, and loose bandages hang around his torso. Urchin took the small inkling to the hospitable with help from his brother Titian. Urchin and his brother Titian both tried everywhere to find who Emerald was and where he came from, but reports have already stated Emerald Serpent to have died from the fire, due to compilations. So Titian adopted Emerald into his own family at least for the moment until Emerald was able to remember something, or someone knew who he was and was given the name Plat after Titian and Urchin's grandfather.

Plat got along well with Titian's own children, Ryan and Lillith who both grew protective of their younger brother. As Lillith turned 14 the trio could now fight in Ink Battles something that Plat has been excited for since watching them with Ryan and Lillith. Plat took to it naturally easily moving up in the ranks but stayed with his siblings most of the time not really wanting to leave their side. Plat was relatively shy and making new friends seemed impossible for him Urchin figured it might be because he was abandoned. It wasn't until Plat met Seville did things change, something pricked at the back of his mind but he couldn't remember what, so he spoke to her. Seville and him were just friends at first, and it never really grew past that well Plat thought they were friends. Seville turns out was using him from the start, he was a higher rank then her so naturally doing ranked battles together helped raise her rank it was until this trick stopped working, when they faced higher ranks did she start to show her true colors. She became aggressive both inside and outside of battle, Plat just often dealt with the outbursts because they did make an alright team, and no one else would squad with him. But one day, she showed up to his apartment carrying a knife. Plat could hardly make sense of anything as she just yelled, swinging the knife around like it was a nothing. Plat was backed into a wall, his ears ringing fear clouding his mind the name Mandrin came back up, and a flash. "You'll pay for what you did." She went straight for his neck, he held her back tiring to push her off screaming which alerted Ryan next door. As the door swung open the knife cut his cheek and nicked his ear, Plat scrambled to the corner as Ryan dealt with Seville casing her off. Plat's vision speckled and stumbling around his apartment in this dazed state he wanted nothing more than to just run. With a sloppily written note he left on the counter Plat just ran, and kept running, then saw Seville, he hid the only place he could, underground. He kept running then he was stopped by something so much worse. He was going to die, taken by the Octarians then he heard someone else. Pluto had followed him down here, and now they are both going to die- or not.

Craig Cuttlefish, and Plat was named Agent 78 and Pluto Agent 3, our job was to rescue the zapfish and bring the Great Zapfish back home. Thats our goal, its a good goal to work toward. Plat hardly left the underground sometimes getting funds for Pluto so he could live his life on the surface. Plat noticed the note he had written was gone, but none of this things where gone. He could come and go as he pleased but avoided being spotted, his training underground helped in this aspect. Then, he was kidnapped. Experimented on, forced to battle inklings in a fight pit, nearly ended up blind, scarred from the whole situation, but there was a light in the darkness Jackson. Jackson kept him alive, and eventually Jackson helped Plat escape the underground but once Plat reached the surface, months had past and Agent 3, Pluto was supposedly dead. Plat was devastated, already weakened from the experiments but he couldn't just go home alone... He wanted to stay with Jackson and he did in his own apartment. As days and months past Plat became stronger, and more anxious rumors about Agent 3's death, he had to find the truth. So he set out to do just that, only to be capture again and brainwashed.

Fighting with Phantom, a friend and now a fellow Agent, he fought along side Phantom in the final battle against the Squid Sisters who had been brainwashed by Octavio. The battle was hard and Phantom was wounded. He then was sent along with Jackson to find Agent 3, and he did. After fighting Agent 3 the two reunited but only for a short amount of time. Plat then found Snowflake and in the process awakened a monster. He didn't remember exactly what happened next, he swore he was dead, but he woke up in a glass tank. Iris, he recognized her face and voice and a deep hatred toward her for what she had done. She explained she wanted to make amends to fix what she had done. He couldn't trust her, he shouldn't, but he didn't even think twice when he agreed to her proposal. Something made him say yes, something made him willing agree to everything, and it was already too late when Iris noticed her mistake. Plat has slowly become sanitized his mind muddled with Tartar's thoughts his own lost in the noise. He can't remember much of what happened, Iris had trapped him in the tank and left. Plat slowly was able to smash through the glass, the tracked down Iris. Tartar no longer had any use for Iris, and Plat was sent to deal with the problem. When he found Iris and the two fought with Plat coming out on top until the other Agents and Snow showed up. Plat tried to fight back for control, but it went to deep his actions weren't his own it wasn't until Plat had shot out Pluto's leg did he regain some control out of the shock, then he was hit and blacked out.

As he regained control, Plat slowly started remembering bits and pieces of his past. His name, Emerald, his family, the fire... Emerald decided to keep his old name but doesn't really mind being called Plat either this was all still new and the pieces never quite fell into place. Emerald after recovering from being sanitized (with Iris help) decided to seek out his siblings. Cobra had grown distant toward everyone and was leader of his own team and getting any information about his old life from him was like drawing blood from a stone. Python was a bit more open about everything and even told Emerald about Amethyst who had gone off to live in the Splatlands, but he wasn't supposed to tell anyone that. Later that week, Emerald along with Jackson headed out to the Splatlands to find Amethyst and hopefully piece together what exactly happened that night and who he was.
