Thank you, I certainly do appreciate being featured. That little image took about six plus hours to render. I hope to get my new computer this week if time allows maybe I can do more Carrara renders.

I'm not certain, I might transition to a large Apple system. But, I'd like a huge hard drive along with a solid state hard drive, with superior rendering power. I had thought that maybe a rendering server so I could move into more complex image making. We'll see, someone asked to buy our house for cash so we may be moving the business again to Portland. We were looking for houses this weekend the neighborhood in the Heights were so charming.

don't know about the solid state drive yet.Β Β Last time read about them, they weren't as good as the better 7200 rpm drives.Β But they will be, there is no doubt, and the price will fall.Β Β Β Personally have close to ten terabyte drives that are usb, and a 1 on the computer.Β Unfortunately when got the interrior did get it fast as thought.Β but it still works.Β Β Β But yes, doing 3D does fill up drives as you have to save so many times and each to a different file so can always go back to one of them should you discover something wrong.Β That just happened in a bed room scene, so had to go back to the 2nd save, to where the action wasn't installed on one of the characters, as when tried to just delete the action layer, it messed everything up.
Don't know anything of portland, and as for a nice place to live.Β For me, would love to live back in Richmond VA.
Leaving the country for a medical review Thursday,Β begone for a few days, going to take camera, but doubt that will be able to use it.

Portland, specifically Arlington Heights felt immediately like home. Charming homes high in the hills, unique neighborhoods. We'll have to spend a half to a full million to purchase but I'm sure we'll be very happy there. I want this to be our final move. It was everything we've been looking for. Going to look at computers tonight we'll see what happens. The screen must be the clearest I can get with robust blacks in the display.

Wish could say this is final place that will live,Β not that like it, but just tired of having to move when ever sponsor feels it is necessary.
since money seems to be no object, try to get one with duel processors.Β Sure your going to get a desktop if going for speed.

Dual core definitely, maybe just a laptop so I can function for now and a full sized system once we move. So many new options in my life right now. Just waiting for the dust to settle.

It is a good Cararra render. To improve further, I'd recommend mixing in some yellow grass.

Thank you, I hope to improve my skill set since I'm still rather new to the craft and my two businesses keep me rather occupied. I'm purchasing new equipment with as much memory as possible. This took six hours to render which isn't time or cost effective. Speed of production is very important to me in order to move the craft ahead. I want to render images in mere minutes not hours then making minor changes would be easy. So I'm committing to the next level soon, then adding yellow to the image should be quite possible. And who knows perhaps we'll open a third business. Lol.Β

I don't know, art is really more about how much of yourself you put into a work rather than render time. The computer works while you sleep of work with your businesses. If you are prepared to spend money, I think thereΒ are other, faster render engines than Cararra.

Exactly! Render time gets in the way of moving ahead if I have to wait six hours to make adjustment. Generally, I'm speaking of hardware being the problem. The craft is not the art, the content is what's important. Most of the world class artists work with ideas first. I'm trying to rapidly learn the craft and transfer my fine art skills into 3D. We have written our own POS software for our businesses it takes care of all everything so we can focus on the big idea. Most any business task from inventory to ordering is automatic, it does billing on its own, transfers money on its own, gives us reports about what is selling, tracks on a map where our website is being opened from, manages the website itself, adjusts prices automatically, even calls UPS on its own. Imagine all the task taken away that bogs a business owner down. I can focus on the important creative ideas and formost my clients. Moving ahead I don't want the technology with my computer made anything to hold back production and creativity. Really I don't mind spending the money since eventually it will make a lot more of it in the future.

And that is the point of the question...this is a 3D rendering completely made in the computer so yes under that guise it is real. Thank you for your comment and appreciation...most valued.
