Description Plumm has no need for humans.

He was made for a con. Even though he had an easy start to life simply riding around in a basket, his eye broke off its post and left him partially blind. Rather than rip his head apart to give him a new eye (and leave myself with an odd number) I opted to make him a pirate. The top two pictures are before the con, the rest are from after. He now sports an eye patch, beak scar, and jolly roger tattoo. The last picture was lifted from Zeldawiki for comparison.

Plumm hangs out at Lake Hylia in Legend of Zelda,Twilight Princess; he lets Link's wolf self play a crazy fruit game up the waterfall.

Felt/hotglue/stuffing.

oh my, it's so cute I love the pirate version so much :3
how did you made the feathers on the head slightly curly?! With wire inside?
Wow. I never knew you can use hotglue on felt like that O.o! I will give it a try next time too ^^ some parts are just a pain in the ass to sew...and without making it visible...

Thanks

Nope, no wire! If you take two pieces of felt and hot glue them together, they still have some flex and will hold gentle shapes. So I pretty much just got the feathers the shape I wanted them to be and curled them gently by wrapping them around a pencil until they looked the way I wanted. This might have to be done before the glue has a chance to cool completely, so within a few minutes of gluing I think P:

Hot glue is super awesome on felt You just have to be a little careful cuz once you get the glue on the felt, you aren't going to be able to get it off without destroying it. And you have to be careful in trying to get the hotglue as close to the edge of the felt as you can without actually having it show

The headspikes impress me on so many levels. VERY clever design, that! O_O

Are the wings felt?

..Poor birdy lost his eye. But he looks right tough in his little eyepatch! XD

Thanks :'D

He's made entirely of felt, but the wings and the tail have three layers to them: the blue base, the smaller purple overlay, and a green underlay. I cut a lot of corners with his initial construction so anything that required layering is held together with hotglue B) He sits nicely (except for being top-heavy) but his wings and tail have too many layers of felt and hotglue to have retained much flexibility. That is to say, you can flex them but at soon as you release it, it goes back to more or less the way it was.

Ah-ha! I have learned.

Did you use normal felt or the extra thick 'friendly felt'?

I would assume it's normal felt; I didn't know it came extra thick o: I get it from Joanne's at a quarter for each standard-paper-sized sheet :]
