I like how you've gotten so invested into this concept of alien humanoid spiders. Not that I'm complaining, but it's just an odd thing to suddenly get into.

It happened while I was working on alien Costume designs for the Vampirettes of Playboy Vampire series. Then, I felt like I wanted to work on a legit series involving aliens. XD
I had to tweak the design elements a bit, because originally, the Spyders weren't inspired by the 80's neon style. They were the more typical horror movie spaceman type appearance with either multiple arms or a Drider body.
Later, while working on the idea, I instead wanted to give them some more work by creating the neon 80's elements, like how the dark city of Spydera is only illuminated by the neon Electrowebs and how parts of their suits glowed.

Interesting. I think you're one of the few artists I've met who manage to find the inspiration for something from just about anything and then just run as much as you can with it. This being one of those cases.
