The Vespiens are tall, aggressive cousins of the small, pixie-ish Combians who share many similar characteristics such as technology, hexagonal computer pads, hexagonal flight pads, aerodynamic black and yellow flight/combat suits and a taste for sugar.

However, unlike the Combians who can create sweet-tasting products like Combia-Cola or Honey Cakes, Vespiens cannot make anything sweet.

As a result, the Vespiens resorted to raids in the Combian Hive to steal any sweets as well as Nectar Vials in order to learn how to make them with no success.

Members of a Vespien Raiding Party are known as Yellow Jackets as they wear small yellow vest jackets to separate a raider from a common Vespien.

The main weapon of most Vespiens is the Photon Stinger. A laser weapon that uses photon energy that leaves a powerful hole in anything it burns. And unlike the Combian Laser Stinger that needs a cooldown every so often so it doesn't overheat and explode, the Photon Stinger can fire multiple beams without any need for a cooldown.

There are members of the Vespien Hive who believe that there are ways of obtaining sweets from Combians without the excessive need to kill or raid. These beliefs include making peace with their smaller relatives. This either gets them ridiculed, exiled, killed or tortured by the other members as believing in such things is either laughable or downright insane.
