all these wrongsim trying to correct
to achieve my perfection?
or maybe just yours
i want to satisfy
you ever judging eyes
i see the examination
of my body
and my mind
run through your face
stupid to stay up at night
so i can work up a sweat
to shed the tainted image
maybe i shouldnt care
but i do
and always have
i want to be your ideal
coming close
isnt going to cut it
i'll be your dream
of a daughter
every aspect of myself
shall live up to
your seemingly
impossible standards
this is what you want
i plan to do it
times that amount
just wait and see
maybe...
you'll finally love me

Oh wow, I love this poem. I can relate to this poem so well. Always have that feeling of needing to perfect myself, as well, and fit into the standards and what not of others.
All I can say is just please try to be yourself. It's really not worth trying to live up to the perfections of others because it seems like the more you try, the further away you get from meeting the expectations and perfections. Just be yourself.
