Haha, silly yet cute alright! I liked how much effort you put into the animation. Simple, but it did indeed show effort alright!
Hm, as a fellow flash artist, would you be ok with a little critique? Not to belittle your work of course, but maybe I can point out a few little details. Perhaps less use of the yoshi stock sounds? That and I noticed in the beginning bits you use a sort of "squiggle-vision" technique for yoshi's lineart when he idles. A good idea, but if you do choose to use it, I would suggest using it more consistently-, mostly because there seem to be a few instances when he does idle but no squiggle-vision can be seen. Not bad of course, on the other hand I do have to applaud you for the details, like for example the birds that seem to be directly from, the game, and the effect of the melon crashing and splattering was really nicely animated.
Well done alright, if you do continue with your animations I really look forward to them!

I agree with you on all the things you said, and that I knew of all these problems, I was especially annoyed at myself for not continuing the squiggle line effect xD; And yeah, I never really liked the Yoshi sounds effects, but I used them for fan relief, I think in the next one, I'll at least lay off the Yoshi voice clips
