Seviper and Zangoose's feud is based off of the fights that people have seen between cobras and mongooses.
Pokedex entries always focus on the fact that these two pokemon fight bitterly, and that nothing can really come between them. But I always wondered how it started. Some of it must be instinct. But imagine a full-grown Zangoose, already bitterly baptized in the fued between the two species, coming across a young Seviper who knows nothing of the fight, but to be afraid of the large creature looming up before it.
Habu had to get those scars somewhere.
Also sorry for anyone who has a Zangoose. They're super cool pokemon.
