Description
I read the Gospel of Loki, and then I listened to the Gosple of Loki so that I could draw Loki while listening to the story of Loki.It was actually a fantastic audiobook, narrated by the very talented Allan Corduner. The story of Loki had a more modern twist, it was very sardonic and nihilistic, and all the funnier because of it. Definitely recommended if you're into Norse mythology.Β
Drawing his helmet was the most fun, and I think it came out the best. I'm not a huge fan of the "frost" coming off his horns, but the contrast against the night sky isn't bad either.
I've been drawing with pencil crayons more and more for convention season, this was a first foray since that Inuyasha drawing.Β
I'm gonna start posting more details for the traditional stuff I'm going to sell. After the CCEE I plan on opening an online store for traditional drawings like this guy, after seeing how it goes at the convention.

Really really awesome!Β Β
(My only objection is that Loki's eyes are green, not blue.)

Omgosh, THE RESEARCH THAT WENT INTO THE DECISION TO COLOUR THEM BLUE XD
I actually decided to make them blue because that was what happened to people affected by the tesseract, and who's to say Loki wasn't affected by it in some way either? He had a much stronger personality when he was in possession of it, a lot more confident and dominant, as opposed to his broody cunning and wit he naturally had without it. I wanted to draw his helmet most, and his helmet to me says "LOOK AT ME I'M THE BADDIEST," and the blue-eye theory paired well with that for me.
Thus, unnaturally blue eyes.Β

OH okay. If this is Tesseract-Loki, then that's a whole different story.Β Β I love the highlights on his hair and cape!

Thanks! The audiobook is awesome, and not terribly long either. The chapters are very doable too, longest is like 25 minutes.
