Description
This is my costume (and my favorite picture of it) for Anime Mid Atlantic. My favorite part is the hair and white poofy things. People kept poking the bun on my head. Its actually a short wig that i curled the ends under and pinned. And i know you can't see it but i taped the passport to the back of my con badgem so i could flip it around when people wanted to take pictures.OH TOPH COSPLAY IS MY FAVORITE NOW.

Nice costume. I don't know why, but I always had a bit of a soft spot for Toph. Maybe it's because she's so badass. If it weren't for the fact mentioned the whole flagging bit, I would've been surprised if they actually let you get away with it.

Hey My friend and I are trying to get a Toph wig done for her because well she wants to cosplay has Toph. Any way we were wondering if it was really that simple to make the wig?

well, a lot of what you see in the picture is my real hair. The way i did it was separate my bangs and then tie my hair up into a high ponytail/bun and then use the rolled up wig to cover it up. it was pretty easy to just pin it down, but if your friend has brown or blond hair, im not sure if my way would help.
i guess i'll also mention that people thought it was all very realistic looking.

thank you! i did make my costume. Honestly it was a huge amount of trial and error as well as just making up some of my own patterns. But i can tell you i used scrubs as a base for the green parts and just made the sleeves longer. one more tip: be as accurate as you can with the color, it really makes a difference. hope everything works out! have fun!
