Vulcan Raven's possibly even more under-appreciated than Decoy Octopus, and I feel a little guilty for never drawing him. In my defense, he's really, really hard to draw (it's that freaking cannon).
Though I did have my suspicions during that goddamn tank fight early in the game (RAVEN STOPS MID-FIGHT AND POPS OUT OF THE TANK TO LAUGH EVILLY FOR NO APPARENT REASON), I did not realize how fucking insane Raven is till I got to his second bossfight. His CRYPTIC METAPHORS and massive gun are just waaay too over the top. I couldn't stop laughing at him (until he actually started using that gun, then I was scared shitless).
Snake is uncharacteristically unbadass in this pic because it's based on my personal experience with this bossfight, which consisted largely of running around crying like a little sissy and blowing myself up with my own landmines. Hey, fighting Raven is SCARY. You're never more than a step away from a being pumped full of lead by the most phallic gun the world has ever seen.
Yes, Miller's line is actual codec dialog. No, it is not what it sounds like. If you call him enough during the second Raven fight he'll tell you about how Raven participates in the Eskimo-Indian Olympics and does the Four Man Carry event with two extra guys.
I went with a more cartoony style this time 'cause I'm lazyI wanted to work on developing my skill with that style. I'm getting a little better I think. Also I just realized I forgot to draw some ravens flying around.

Well, more like I tried to use landmines in that tank fight...wasn't really successful. I never had any luck with explosives in that game, unless I was attaching C4 to someone's back in the bathroom.

It's actually kind of comical. They'll feel you putting it on their back and go "Huh?" but if you run and hide after you do it, they'll just walk away. Then you can follow them around at your leisure and see the C4 strapped to their back.
It's really sadistic how you can kill people in that game.

I suck at pretty much every bossfight except that shirtless fistfight with Liquid. I kinda do okay against Mantis in TTS with the "crawl so he can't hit you with furniture and use 1st person view" trick. I also use walkthroughs for everything 'cause I'm fucking hopeless. Glad to know you enjoyed it.

Sexy men beating each other up while half naked... It gave me some issues. :> I do pretty good on MGS games after playing several runs on Snake Eater, but my first time I was utterly useless. I was always a FPS gal. But my brother convinced me it would be worth the effort. I guess I owe him a thank you.

I had my issues long before I got into MGS. Snake Eater was my first MGS game too (unless you count the MGS1 demo I played when I was like 10). I'm still useless. 8/
