The premier music editing software, Reason. Like...the absolute in terms of mixing and such. 4 is the latest version out.

Alot like Audacity actually. I think the layering system is a little more professional. Its got a lot of bells and whistles though. I only managed to use, I dunno, two-thirds of the stuff of the partial demo. It'll take me weeks to find and sue all the stuff its got to offer I'm sure. Reason has a bit of a cleaner interface than most editing softwares, I noticed that much right off the bat.

its worth it. i finally got to play around on it today. 4 is amazing. My demo was of 3.2 . Yeah, incredible differences. it leans more on the mixing side than much else. Its main interface is a Keyboard. Still, worth a demo glance for sure. ^.^

I love the upright audiophonic style myself. Something about the tinny sound I get off of one is the best for me. I just got a new keyboard this Christmas. A Spectrum. Kinda basic but it gets the job done. What're you using?

Oh God mine is SO ancient. I swear my Mom got it before my sister and I were born. The model number is even scratched off the darn thing. Thankfully it's still functioning. I mostly just use it to plunk out melodies in my vocal music, 'cause it's easier than trying to get it on my dang violin which is generally an octave above what I need to get.
Ugh, I HATE that tinnyness. I need a nice whooooole, perfectly resounding delicious notes that I can almost taste. I think maybe I'll go to Musician's Blvd this week and price and shop. See what my director thinks. I dunno, I guess we'll see. Maybe I'll see if I can't pester my Mom enough to get me the keyboard for my birthday.
No way she'd ever get me a baby grand, but hey. I can always dream.

heh. I'm afraid I'm a slave to the basic scratchy sounds of old instruments. I've got a custom setting just to make my acoustic piano on the keyboard sound worse. >.< I'm a slave to artists like Ben Folds and Five Star Iris and Miles Apart. something about that old sound really hits a chord.

Mmmmm... My range is shot as of late because I have been going from one extreme to the other (I'm a Soprano 2 in choir and an Alto 2 in the show I'm in) and it kind of just kills me. So yeah, my throat's been killing me lately, and I haven't had ANY composition time because of stupid Diatonic Homework and rehearsal and work and all that other crap. I've tried to compose during Chemistry but the prof always gives me dirty looks.

I've finished all but one of my sciences. the next year and a half of school is going to be painfully boring. I'm too smart for my own good. I tested out of all but one math, all my sciences, all my but two humanities, all but one English. i gotta take boring stuff. accounting, marketing, transcription. things that take no real effort but lots of time.

x.x; Yuuuck. I just take all the easy math classes so I don't have to try and learn because I'm terrible at math. I'm a freaking Chemistry wiz for some god-only-knows reason so that's a breeze for me right now, and I dropped my English class because it was too much work on top of Diatonic. Unfortunately, that class is severely difficult and sooo time consuming and everything has to be completely memorized and I have a test next week and aaaaaugh it's horrible. T^T It's fun 'cause I'm learning though. And about MUSIC. Couldn't live without it.
