Description Lord Hector of Ostia from Fire Emblem. I wanted to get my hands dirty and experiment with making armour, and I'm quite happy with the results. He's 12inches high and made out of fleece, linen, and costume satin. His armour is actually quite tough, retaining it's shape pretty much perfectly. All handsewn.
His hair is a bit silly but I wasn't totally sure how to render nice short hair with fleece. Another day maybe ;_;

He actually has a fair amount of nice details on his backside, especially his boots. I'm not too fussed on getting any pictures though unless people want them.

His arms have a bit of wiring in them too. He's a bit bogged down by all his armor but you can pose his arms anywhere but up. In the next few weeks I hope to put some magnets in his hands and make him an axe, but that's a long ways off.

Oh my lord...quite literally. I always wanted to see one of these! Hector's probably my favorite lord in the Fire Emblem series.

His armor looks amazing! He definitely needs his axe though, he can't be a tank without it! And I think his hair looks pretty good, considering. Fleece is bulkier than some fabrics, so it doesn't always behave as one wants it too..

Yeah, it was a bit of a pain but the main problem was it kept shedding into the face so he looked very blue. I had to shave his face constantly while I was working on it. Looking at it now I'm definitely happier with it than I was than.

UGH. That's one thing I hated about sewing characters with hair. I usually kept tape on hand to remove the hair fuzz from the face. (Shaving, as you put it. So true!) It really destroys the look one wants when making a doll!

This is probably the cutest thing I've ever seen.
