Description
My final animation project that capped off my 4 years at Sheridan College. I adapted the Greek myth of Persephone and Demeter into animation through animals.Pre-production time (initial story concepts, storyboarding, animatic) was around 8 months, and production time (painting bgs, animation, sound editing, and compositing) was around 4 months. Heh, looking at that now, I reeeeally could've used more time in the production phase.

In greek myth Persephone and Hades (the red bird and snake) are betrothed, but Persephone is taken away from her mother before the ceremony can take place. However, she eats some pomegranate seeds and has to stay with Hades for some time of the year.

wow... it was like the legend of Hades god of underworld and Persephone vegetation goddess(Greek god legend) O_o
when Persephone live on Earth with her mom, we have spring season.
But when she go live with her husband Hades in underworld (actually she was abducted by Hades but she love him at last), we have winter.
