The truest victim in the whole story. I always saw him as a truly tragic character.
I always liked the idea that although animated the flesh may still continue a slow decay

That was always part of the underlying story. How the monster was the true innocent, the victim. Turned cruel by mistreatment and undeserved endless agony.
