he was introduced during Morrison's run... almost ten years ago now? wow... time flies. but yeah. he's french (france french) and has some sort of power of persuasion or suggestion or something confusing... and is followed by an organic spaceship (like flight of the navigator) that is actually an external nervous system. so i think he can't feel pain... unless you hurt the ship... i really don't know. it used to be they'd explain stuff like that in comics. now they just do things and expect you to have read that one issue where they explain how the powers work.

oh man, i wish you were right. that new mutants arc is one of my favourites. i don't care how Archie & Friends the team became, the art, costumes and silly crushes were the best!
