I LOVE Hiccup's voice. Don't know why, I just do.
Paha XD I understand why he said "Say, 'Ohana mean's family.'" Toothless was modeled after Stitch!

So I've seen like twenty of these memes >.>
(and not to bash on yours specifically or anything)
But I haven't seen the movie
and I didn't want to.
At all.
I hated it once I saw the commercials.
It is NOTHING like the books, and every single meme I've seen of this, no one has read the books.
So you don't even know what you like.
I'm just trolling here, but it's annoying when something becomes popular, like a book when it's made into a movie, but the movie is nothing like the book. Kinda like Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. If they followed the book, I'm sure the movie would've been better than it was. That and they could've done more with it and made it twice as funny.
But why people just like the new "revamped" whateveritis and don't even try to read/watch the original is beyond me.

rant away! rants keep the world spinning round! i try to rant at someone at least once every day.
i had no idea Cloudy was based on a book. just finally saw that movie a couple weeks ago, and loved it! haha
i know where you're coming from though. most often, the movie tributes to these stories are so truncated and compressed that you miss out on what made the original stories so good in the first place. this is especially prevalent in comic book movies, where you can't wrap 60 years of monthly serials into a 2 hr movie.
personally as far as HTTYD is concerned though, i have no interest in reading the original books simply because i saw the film as an animation fan, and not as a children's movie fan. i'm assuming that the books are aimed at a younger audience, since the characters in the books are younger.
i'm not going to read anything by R.L.Stine. and i will never finish the Harry Potter series, (sorry, books 6 and 7, you're off the list) because all too often i'm reading subject matter that simply has no appeal to my 29 year old self. this happens often with comics and other mediums as well. i can get into kid characters with kid themes, but when it's in a kid language, that's where i get lost.
or maybe i'm just making up bs because i'm tired. either way, was shocked that Dreamworks could put out two decent cartoons in a row.
but i totally see where you're coming from. there are now millions of people who think wolverine and sabretooth are brothers thanks to that shitty movie.

lol I know
maybe it was just me ranting XD
I read the books in 5th grade even though I was a girl because I was TOTALLY into dragons.
Then I realized it wasn't really about dragons.
Just some hooligans with dragons.
BUT I STILL READ IT AND I LIKED IT.
I don't know.
Animation wise it was really good, but it bothers me mostly because
it could've still been a good movie if it stayed true to the series. Not only could it have carried on with all like 5 books or whatever (i've read the ones that had dragon in the name LOL) but it still could've been pleasing to both children and adults if the script was slightly moderated.
I think that's what bothered me the most, same goes for cloudy.
That's the thing with books being made to movies.
The movie could've been as successful if not more successful if they stayed true.
KIND OF WHY THEY MADE IT INTO A MOVIE IN THE FIRST PLACE.
It might be the writers who just don't like that.
I don't know.
I was just ranting.
But I was like WOAH
DREAMWORKS MADE A DECENT QUALITY MOVIE O

This was a riot, as usual. I loved that movie, particularly the twins. I didn't really have a pairing preference for any of the characters, either. It was just a fun story.
Love the Viking delivery man sketch. Classic.

thanks! yeah, the romance angle wasn't really explored (thankfully) so pairing is a weird idea. like pairing ewoks or something.

i have no idea. me-me? me me me me me? i guess it's some sort of internet communication trend. like the "i can has cheezburgr" cats, or Charlie Bit Me. only i think Meme's are supposed to be like pretty popular. i don't know how popular these dA meme's get. there does seem to be quite a few of this one though. (some really well done too! with colour!)

i downloaded the jpg and opened it in Alias Sketchbook Pro. made a new layer and drew all over it. thought about colouring, but that takes extra long time. unlike photoshop, you can't just paintbucket areas in Sketchbook. you gotta colour like you're holding markers.
