Drawing Anecdotes
Here's PMBO8 with a new drawing for the Poke fanclub drawing challenge, that was draw the Pokemon Swampert!
My first idea was draw them in their natural environment, pretty simple
I had other ideas in the way I left to save time, as i'm too busy and unfocused by my incoming birthday
I also tried few effects on the couple and mudkips, so the colors mix a bit, ¿do you think works?
Personally I feel it looks like this old drawing , but with the skills and neat lines I developed trought drawing for a year :3
I guess it's ok, something I can look with a bit of proud
Drawing Inspirations
I feel this is like some Nat Geo screenshot, actually the idea I left was a "Gorilla Swampert" scaring a Grovyle catching barboach in their swamp. As adding some Nat Geo narration, but at the end, I just let it as a Swampert family taking a bath
Yeah, drawing Nat Geo environments hearing Whitney Houston!. But i'm too anxious for my upcoming birthday, ¿how I will know what would happen?

I agree, it totally looks like something from National Geographic! And considering I live in the marshlands, I think you really nailed the environment, all wet and foggy and slightly ominous. And I love the little baby Mudkips poking their heads out of the water and being all cute in ways only a Mudkip can.

You catched my idea!, but as Absbor below says, I didn't put too much focus in the background, I actually wanted do more color study and clear references, I mean, ¿do you really see something in the forest?. But overall it's neat >w<

Sometimes, simplicity looks good! I think it’s fitting! And yeah I see the mysterious Pokémon in between the trees... is it a Suicune? I’m guessing based on the shape of it and the fact that you called out Suicune in the comments.

They look perfectly fitting with each other. The darker atmosphere and skin tone works really well with the swamp. The background might look a little bit too simple.
