i've finally made it.
this is the colored poster print that will go along with smash bros tattoo i started last year for a guy in Australia. this will serve as a color reference for the tattoo artist he decides to work with and i'm so glad i finally got through it. it was a beast of a project and possibly the largest in terms of how many hours i've spent on just one single image from start to finish. phew.

haha, yeah pretty ruthless, i know it's because the commissionee expressed how personal the fighting relationship is amongst his friends who play as those characters so it has some kind of backing to the reason those characters in particular are depicted......still, funny that you pointed that out!

Haha, I get it. My buddies who pick Wario and Pokémon characters used to draw them killing the characters myself and other friends picked. Nothing brings out the competitive beast like video games.

Thank you so much for this I cant wait to get this printed and hopefully find someone skilled enough to get my tattoo done its exactly what I envisioned. Also, to all that say having peaches heart ripped out is too much... my mate played peach... you verse that bitch all the time with her insanely annoying moves, ability to control the smash ball, and her smash move then tell me you don't want to rip her heart out haha each character has a meaning to me and my friendship group for my tattoo and yes it will become a tattoo on me.... Pnutink you are yet again my most favorite artist ever and it was a honor working with you on this!

I love the way Pikachu is drawn in this. He's all contorted and twisted, but in a way that has enough realism to be believable for an animal and he has interesting little wounds. I just think he looks really cool.
Poor Pit, being forced to reflect his game's namesake-myth. While being strangled. Princess Peach's heart coming out through her back is a little much, though... It's a weird sight with the cartoony style.
Ganondorf... is ELEGANT! Such gorgeous magical flames... and I like that he's grappling with Captain Falcon - similar moves. Neat, frentic and violent!
(I write fanfiction. I once wrote a fic that made the Brawl into the Hunger Games. I'm glad when I see fan work of a similar mindset).

thanks for all the in-depth looks and comments on some of the characters. the graphic image of peach and her heart getting ripped out seems a little out of place to me as well, but it was part of the commissionees specific request. actually all of what you see is based on the commissionees vision that was given to me and i did my best to interpret...
