Feels like our problems will only be solved when this aged generation in government dies off and people with this indebted higher education muscle our way in to fix things. I faint at the notion of letting this continue.

no, it is not symbolic. . .it is straightforward. . .the 1% are demanding that the rest of us sacrifice and accept austerity (cuts in benefits, increases in taxes) while they get more tax cuts. So, this poaster is a sarcastic response to that. Understand better now?

This reminds me of the Fox/Republican logic on cutting the deficit.
"Taxes on the rich would only get us hundreds of billions, when we need trillions to pay off the deficit. It won't solve the problem."
Then later that day...
"Why are we funding Planned Parenthood? We could save *millions* and help trim the deficit if we axed that funding!"
Tax the homeless! Subsidize yachts! I think they flunked math.

That's because real math is evil socialist math and is always wrong, "conservative" math is the only acceptable math and you are a communazi libtard if you even remotely question it.
Pardon me, I need to fix my sarcasm pipe, it's dripping everywhere.

"Pardon me, I need to fix my sarcasm pipe, it's dripping everywhere." Mind if I use that as a signature?

The US Congress is going to impose austerity measures beginning with the DOUBLING of the interest rate on Federal student loans from 3.4% to 6.8%. They, and their allies on Wall Street, want to rest of us to suffer so that they can continue to enjoy their undeserved millions.

I the meantime we subsidize the oil and corn industry, and congress can't level the tax rate for the uber wealthy. So it totally makes sense that students should make up the difference. Phuleez.
